One quarter of one penny added to purchases will generate approximately $40 million dollars to reinstitute social services that were stripped from our county when the government made budget cuts. These funds will also enable the county to add crucial services to benefit children, youth, their families and the future of our county.
To that end, Putting Kids First is working to include the following proposition on the November 2008 ballot in St. Louis County:
St. Louis County shall, solely for the purpose of establishing a community children’s services fund for the purpose of providing services to protect the well-being and safety of children and youth nineteen years of age or less and to strengthen families, be authorized to levy a sales tax of one-quarter of a cent in the County of St. Louis. |
Please support this proposition, and help Put Kids First!
