Thanks to all the great people of St. Louis County for passing Proposition 1! As you may know nearly 62% of the voters supported Proposition 1 in the November Election.

Since the election everyone involved with the next step has been working really hard to make sure that the new funding agent created by the Community Children’s Service Fund legislation gets up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible. Right now the St. Louis County Executive, Mr. Charlie Dooley, is in the process of selecting the people who will serve as the Board of Directors for the new funding agent. The process is moving along smoothly and every step is guided by the thought that this money will help the children and youth of St. Louis County on a scale not previously seen in our area.

Taxes for this fund will begin to be collected in April of 2009. We are optimistic that this process will continue with the same intention and goal as it started with; namely to improve our community by protecting our most valuable resource the children and youth of St. Louis County!
